VIXX Hongbin Under Fire, Fellow Members Apologizes

VIXX's Hong bin first anniversary celebration on Twitch became a hot topic on social media after the idol hosted a live stream with various music videos on February 29.

The idol received heated criticisms after he gave a distasteful comment of SHINee's song "Everybody".

In the short clip posted on twitter, Hong Bin can be seen frowning and commenting, "Who the hell added crappy idol song like this to the band music. Idol song lacks quality." which immediately offended SHINee fans and criticized him.

These are some of the comments against Hong bin.

"Why? Did he think their songs are good enough? They can't even beat SHINee."

"No matter how noisy it sounds he shouldn't have said that."

"This demonstrates the fake person and the bad behavior of this person. His fans are desperate to try to justify it even though he already accepted his mistakes."

On the other hand, VIXX fans defended the K-pop idol explaining that Hong bin was not actually pointing to the song or the group but to the loud remix. Some even shared same thoughts as Hong bin.

"He spoke no lies, the remix is horrible. SHINee's everybody is an amazing song as it is."

"I can relate with HB. This remix is too noisy!"

"He didn't mean that the song was horrible, but it was loud. Please don't hate him for this misunderstanding. Also, Hongbin has always liked SHINee and is close to the group members."

Following the broadcast, fellow VIXX members Ravi and Leo took their personal social account to write for the fans.

"Dream sweet dreams with your hearts at ease. My muses, I'm sorry." Leo posted on his twitter.

Meanwhile, Ravi spoke about his first solo album on his Instagram post and touched upon the remarks Hong bin had made.

"I worked hard because it was a stage I had wanted to show you in person, but I hope you were able to feel happiness seeing [the stages] through broadcasted shows. I had wanted to create many good memories with you in various places, but the situation didn't allow for it and that makes me sad. However, there are still so many shows I've yet to be on and concerts I've yet to hold, so don't think if this as the end, please don't say goodbye to my precious first album "El Dorado" just yet, and please and treasure it a lot. I miss you so much. I love you."

"My wish is that for many people, including myself, the thought is deeply embedded within us that there is no one higher or lower when it comes to the arts, and that we must not tear down someone's tears and passion so easily. I wish to sincerely apologize to all those who have been hurt." Ravi said on his Instagram post.
